Great guides who were very knowledgeable and friendly. We saw 4 of the big 5 which we were delighted with. It does take 3 hours to reach the starting location which could be advertised more clearly, but other than that everything was great.

Our experience with Nomade Tours was incredible from start to finish. Our driver to Sukau, Adran, couldn't have been kinder! We arrived at the river just in time for the golden hour, had a quick snack, and started the safari. Our boat guide was amazing—so patient and skilled at spotting wildlife. We saw many types of monkeys and birds; even though we didn't spot any orangutans, the tour was absolutely worth it. Being immersed in nature like that is a unique feeling.
I highly recommend Nomade Tours; they were always available via WhatsApp to answer our questions before and during the trip. Thank you so much! I would choose them a thousand times over.

Frequently asked questions

What should i know before booking?

This experience goes on rain or shine, but keep in mind that things that things like bad weather, river conditions, traffic, or changes in the company's schedule might delay the start time. Plus, wildlife can be pretty unpredictable, so we can't promise you'll spot any specific animals. But our guide will totally give it their all, since a guide spot wildlife is way better than just wandering around aimlessly

Does the tour include pickup and drop-off?

We can arrange the pick-up and drop-off anywhere in Sepilok or Sandakan—no fixed spots here! The tours are super flexible, so we can work with what suits you best.

Will I get a refund if missed some tour or only participated partial?

Sadly, the tour is tied to a product deal, so we can't really do refunds or changes on that. Maybe it's a good idea to just jump in and go for it.

Can you arrange for a vegan or vegetarian option?

For sure, there aren’t any hidden fees. Just give us a quick reminder when you make your reservation or the day before you check in, so our team can have everything set up for you.

Is it guaranteed that we'll see all the wildlife?

The Kinabatangan a key wildlife highway in Sabah, Malaysia. It's a unique spot where you can encounter rare creatures like the Bornean pygmy elephant and orangutan, plus proboscis monkeys, various hornbills, and crocodiles. While tours are designed to boost your chances of spotting wildlife, animals can be pretty unpredictable, so you can't always count on seeing them. A little luck usually plays a part!
