Summer, on the other hand, is a no-go with those scorching climate in Wadi Rum however it is the best time without much tourists.
How to stay safe?
Wadi Rum is incredibly safe, but the desert environment requires specific precautions. For a smooth trip, drink plenty of water, reserve certified guides, and protect yourself from the intense heat if any. Many scammed travellers were confused how to get to the campsite; transport is usually not covered unless the host guarantees it. Beware of nice taxi drivers who try to introduce you to their recommendation of campsite outside Wadi Rum, usually near Disah. They will con you out of your money while you're not actually visiting Wadi Rum yet, but bear in mind that it's not UNESCO-listed.
