Our day trip to Gomantong Cave and the Kinabatangan River Safari was absolutely unforgettable, largely thanks to our incredible tour guide, Sufri! From start to finish, Sufri went above and beyond to ensure we had an amazing experience. He is exceptionally knowledgeable, sharing fascinating insights about the cave's ecosystem and the rich wildlife along the river. Beyond his expertise, Sufri's warm personality, patience, and great sense of humor kept us engaged and smiling throughout the day. If you take this tour, pray that you get Sufri as your guide—he truly made the experience world-class!

We had a great time! Lunch and dinner were delicious and the cave was unbelievable! We saw 4 of the 5 of Borneo’s big 5 on our river tour. Highly recommended!

Harresun was a great tour guide. He was really knowledgeable and pointed out many things at the Gomatong caves. We got to see the Rhinoceros Hornbill and the Orang utan at the caves. The trip involved a lot of steps and was exhausting but worth the view at the top. The river cruise was also amazing. More orang utan and hornbills king fisher and eagles and lots of different monkeys including the proboscis monkey. Highly recommend

Amazing cruise trip experience

We had such an amazing cruise trip! Our boat guide knew exactly where to find the wildlife, and we were incredibly lucky to see elephants, orangutans, monkeys, hornbills, and so much more.

The driver was also very friendly and careful, which made the whole journey feel safe, relaxing, and enjoyable. Everything was well paced, with no rushing at all. An unforgettable experience and definitely worthy of five stars!

Great guide.

Our guide was superb. Very knowledgeable. He spotted an orangutan and a rhinoceros hornbill for us on the walk into the cave which was fantastic. He was great company for the day. I do think the tour is expensive compared to other tours we have booked though.

Amazing tour with mr Harresun.

Had a wonderful day with our guide mr. Harresun. Saw multiple orangutans from very close, and also other different monkeys/animals. When at the cave, you have the option to also hike the stairs. It can be tiring but the view is amazing! Also the place where we saw 1 wild orangutan.
Highly recommend the tour!

Incredible experience.

The Kinabatangan cruise experience was great; we saw many animals and the guide was very nice.

The trip to Gamantong cave and K. river cruise was excellent, both of us preferring the river cruise to the cave. The cave is great and interesting (as well as very smelly) but it’s just a cave where one is confined to the path. Unless you arrive in the evening and go to the top of the hill to see the bats flying out you won’t see any of them in the cave from close.
But on the river you see quite a few animals and birds. Saw the macaque family playing from about one meter close, that was great!

Had a private tour which is definitely the best way to do it. Gomantong caves were amazing, although a little disappointed not to see swiftlets. Unfortunately plenty of cockroaches which luckily didn't bother us. Had a lovely lunch before boarding our boat on the Kinabatangan river. The safari was excellent, the boatman was a really good spotter and we saw everything apart from the pygmy elephants. Our guide for the day was very informative and looked after us well, nothing was rushed. The only unavoidable negative was the long (2hr) drive there and again back.
