Day 1 : Bornean Forest Canopies and River Safaris

Begin your journey in Sandakan with a morning transfer to the edge of Sepilok, surrounded by lush greenery. Start your adventure at the Rainforest Discovery Center, where elevated canopy walkways offer panoramic views of ancient plant species and resident birdlife. Continue to the journey to Kinabatangan and head to the River's banks and continue its expeditions with a local tribe sungai people to search for big 5 in the late evening. Onboard a river boat and embark on a peaceful river cruise to see the riverbanks come to life. Keep an eye out for potential wild monkeys, potential hornbills, pygmy elephants, crocodiles, proboscis monkeys for all big 5 along the forest border. Dinner, explore a night cruise to search for nocturnal wildlife before returning to Sandakan for an overnight stay.

Day 2 : Morning Farewell to Sandakan

Enjoy breakfast at the hotel or resort followed by a morning at self leisure. Depending on your onward travel plans, check out from the hotel and take your scheduled transfer to Sandakan Airport or your next destination within the Sandakan area, marking the end of the safari.

What should i know before booking?

The start and end times of the tour may vary based on the weather, and cruise times may also adjust depending on the river, weather, and risks. if the weather doesn’t cooperate, there won’t be any refunds. Just like any wildlife tour, we can't promise you'll see specific animals. It's all part of the adventure!

Does the tour include pickup and drop-off?

Absolutely, we can pick you up from anywhere at Sandakan Airport or any spot in Sandakan or Sepilok. Our pick-up starts at 11 AM!

Can I get a refund if I missed some tour or only participated partial?

The tour isn't refundable, so we can't really do anything about getting a refund or making changes. Maybe it's a good idea to just jump in and have some fun. the itinerary might shift a bit if the weather gets rough or if we need to keep the animals safe.

What can I expect during the stay?

The stay will be in Sandakan instead of the Kinabatangan areas, which means no issues and generally better facilities than in the city either in a resort or a high-end hotel with private room, private bathroom and hot and cold shower with breakfast included and plenty of time to relax at your own pace.

Would you arrange for a vegan or vegetarian option?

Are all wildlife guaranteed to be seen?

In a wildlife area, animals can wander freely, so you can't always count on seeing them and hence it is not guaranteed but our guide will do their best to locate them.
