Probolinggo: 2-Day Bromo & Ijen Tour with One-Night Stay

The best tour we did while spending 3 weeks in Java! Well organized, great value for money, great things to visit and experience, but the BEST feature was our fantastic tour guide Ifa. She treated us like we were family, looked after us so well and her knowledge and expertise were fantastic. Everything on this tour was quality and we would no hesitate to recommend this trip with IDN Trip Experiences to anyone coming to Java. Ifa thank you so much for spending this time with us, we were so lucky to have you as our guide. You are the best tour guide ever and your company are so lucky you have you as their guide.

We had a great experience on this tour! Our guide, Nikma, was incredibly kind and helpful throughout the trip. She took lots of great photos and videos for us and always knew the best spots to visit and the perfect places for pictures. She really made the experience even more enjoyable.
The driver also deserves special mention—he drove very safely, and the vehicle was clean and very comfortable, which made the long drives relaxing.
The tour was well organized from start to finish, and everyone was professional, friendly, and accommodating. I would definitely recommend this company to others.
The only minor downside wasn't really the company's fault. As a European, I had expected a bit more hiking and physical activity, but that was simply my own misunderstanding or expectation.
If you're looking for a comfortable, well-organized sightseeing tour, this is an excellent choice.

We spent two days with Nabiila and Budi, one day to Bromo and one day to Tumpak Sewu. Both days were perfectly organized. The long car rides were entertaining. There was also a lot to see on the drive. With Nabiila and Budi, we were able to have a good conversation about culture and life in Indonesia, especially in comparison to Germany, and we learned a lot in the process. Nabiila and the local guide at Tumpak Sewu guided us through the days very comfortably on-site. During the Jeep ride to Bromo, we felt very safe thanks to the experienced driver.

At our request, we also stopped at local street food stands and received the best local food there.

Our guide, Rizky, made sure our trip was carried out professionally, safely, and without delays. I highly recommend it.

De trip was in één woord: fantastisch!
Voorafgaand aan de reis verliep het contact met IDN erg soepel. Ze waren goed bereikbaar via WhatsApp, hadden een duidelijke reisplanning en de offerte was snel opgesteld en overzichtelijk. Betalen kan gemakkelijk contant of met de kaart, en dat hoef je pas te doen wanneer de tour begint.

Bij aankomst op de luchthaven werden we hartelijk ontvangen door onze gids Yusuf en chauffeur Budi. Twee ontzettend vriendelijke mannen! We stapten in de auto en zo begon onze reis.

Er zit soms wat reistijd tussen de verschillende bestemmingen, maar de auto's zijn comfortabel, waardoor dat totaal geen probleem is. Onderweg kun je genieten van de prachtige landschappen, het dagelijkse leven langs de weg of gezellig een praatje maken met je gids en chauffeur.

De hotelkamers waren netjes, schoon en de bedden lagen heerlijk. Echt boven verwachting! Voor de lunch en het diner bracht Yusuf ons steeds naar leuke, lokale restaurants. Allemaal lekker én betaalbaar. Onze favoriet was zonder twijfel Pinus Sewu, waar je tijdens het eten kunt genieten van een prachtig uitzicht op de Semeru-vulkaan.

Budi is een uitstekende chauffeur en staat altijd op tijd klaar om je weer op te halen. Yusuf zorgt ervoor dat het je aan niets ontbreekt. Wil je graag lokaal fruit proeven? Dan regelt hij dat. Hij maakt bovendien prachtige foto's en video's en vertelt in goed Engels veel interessante dingen over de omgeving en de Indonesische cultuur. Dankzij hen voelden we ons vanaf het eerste moment op ons gemak. De plekken die je tijdens deze tour bezoekt zijn werkelijk adembenemend en absoluut de moeite waard. We kunnen deze tour dan ook van harte aanbevelen aan iedereen die in de buurt van Malang of Surabaya is.

This was an amazing trip and private only my friend Flavie, me and our guide Dede. We had so much fun and laugh together it was one of my favorite memories of my travelling ! Chose this tour out of many others because of the amazing reviews and yup the experience definitely lived up to the reviews. The entire trip was amazing and everything went smoothly aside from the fact that we overslept and was late for 1 hour for the second day tour and even then the staff was very kind and waited patiently while we rushed to get ready. We had a great breakfast and lunch on the second day which was included in the tour. The highlight of the trip was definitely the sunrise viewing on the second day and climbing up the volcano and me and my friends all agreed that Mt Bromo was just an amazing experience overall and what made it even more perfect was the amazing IDN Trip Experiences team especially Alef who was our tour guide for both of the days. 10/10 would recommend taking the trip with them as throughout the trip we did not feel rushed at all and generally all of our needs was taken care of so literally everything was perfect.

First time in Indonesia and this was also the first tour I went on. I signed up for this tour with a friend and had an amazing time. This tour is pretty physical. Tempak sewu and its waterfalls were beautiful, trekking throughout the waterfall and heading to Goa tetes cave was a bit challenging, so I highly recommend wearing sturdy waterproof shoes/sandals. You will get wet! For Mt. bromo, we had to wake up very early for the sunrise viewing but it was worth it. After the sunrise, you have the option of walking up the trail or doing a horse back ride to the stairs that lead up to get a better view of Mt bromo volcano and the craters. The smell of sulfur was very strong at some points so bring a face mask if you are sensitive to smells. Our guide Nadal was helpful, patient, knowledgeable and answered all our questions and more. All admission fees were all taken care of prior to the tour so we didn't have to worry. He and his team prepared us successfully to have a safe and awesome experience at both the Tempak sewu waterfall and seeing the sunrise view of Mt bromo. Would definitely recommend this tour.

I recently visited Bromo and although the weather was cloudy and I didn’t get to see the iconic golden sunrise, the overall trip was still truly memorable. The highlight came afterward when I visited one of the most famous waterfalls, Tumpak Sewu and Tetes Cave and Waterfall, which was absolutely amazing and worth every step.

I was also very fortunate to have an amazing team with me. My guide, Rizki, was always helpful and thoughtful. He even helped me print my train tickets before I left Malang for my next stop, which I really appreciated. My driver was equally wonderful, always stopping at great local spots so I could try fruits and delicious local food along the way.

Even without the perfect sunrise, this Bromo trip became special because of the beautiful waterfall experience and the great people who made the journey smooth and enjoyable.

East-java is easily one of the most beautiful places I've visited. From mount Bromo to Tumpak Sewu waterfall. The IDN trip experiences was handled very well, from messages sent on time to put us in contact with our tour guide and enough details on when we should be ready for what will happen. I really enjoyed my time there and the environment was nice, but it wouldn't have been the same without our tour guide and good friend Mr. Qowim. He's easily one of the best people I've met in Indonesia. He doesn't feel like a narrator to your tour and shows interests in your life which makes him a great addition to your time there. He was always very patient with us and gave us the time to explore the places on our own while also making it fun for us to visit those places. He's also very intelligent in many things and has a good sense of humor. We're very happy to have had him as our tour guide and we wish him the best of luck in his future endeavors.

Organizing our days in Malang with IDN was a great success. They are very professional from start to finish; contacting us days before the trip and giving us all possible facilities. I would like to take this opportunity to thank Ifa (our guide these two days); with her energy, vitality and constant smile she has conveyed all the good that Indonesia has to offer.
